Timbersled FAQ

What is snowbiking?
Snowbiking combines the speed and agility of a dirt bike with the terrain capabilities of a snowmobile. Popularity for the sport continues to grow.

What is a Timbersled system?
Timbersled is a snowbike conversion system that allows you to convert your dirt bike to a snowbike. A ski replaces the front wheel and a track system replaces the back wheel of your dirt bike. The snowbike can then be converted back into a dirt bike for summer riding. As a leader in snowbikes since 2009, all Timbersled products are designed, tested, and built by hand in Sandpoint, Idaho. We continue our innovative tradition to drive the sport of snowbiking through kits and accessories so that you can ride anywhere you can imagine with ease and confidence.

Who can ride a Timbersled?
No previous dirt biking skills are necessary. Timbersled is built to fit your riding style whether you're an advanced rider or a beginner. Ride with ease and confidence from the moment you hit the powder. We have created an easy way for everyone in the family to access the snowy backcountry. It's easy to learn and the freedom you feel is incredible.

Does Timbersled fit on all dirt bikes?
Timbersled systems fit a wide range of modern motocross and off-road dirt bikes from the early '90s to today. Because the Timbersled system is universal, it requires an installation kit that is bike specific. The installation kit consists of all bike-specific mounting pieces.
Find the install kit for your bike.

What is the difference between a Timbersled system and an install kit?
A Timbersled system includes the ski and track, while the install kit consists of all bike-specific mounting pieces. Both a system and install kit are needed for your snowbike experience.

How long does it take to install?
Usually Timbersled systems can be installed in under three hours.
